about

This album combines the first two vinyl releases – ‘Internal Codes’ (1996) and ‘Ghosts... of the Civil Dead’ (1997) – and over 30 mins of before unreleased material including the first Current 909 concert from December 1997.

When Current 909 was born around 1995, the idea of combining sounds from 80s underground movies, new wave, and industrial culture with techno and electro of the 1990s was highly obscure. Partly ahead of its time, this combination of the sobriety, melancholy and darkness of the 80s with the ecstasy of the 90s feels like a forerunner to current strains of music that operates between dark electronic listening and dance music.

'The Price For Existence Is Eternal Warfare' was originally released on CD in 2002.
